Plusmo launches operations in Spain with success at WCS 2024

As part of the Wholesale Congress Series (WCS) 2024, held in Madrid, we officially launched our operations in Spain, presenting an innovative portfolio of value-added solutions focused on Rich Communication Services (RCS) and Mobile ID. This announcement was made with the participation of renowned operators such as Telefónica and Orange.

The WCS, one of the most important events in the industry worldwide, provid ed us with the opportunity to have our own stand, where we also unveiled our new corporate image, reflecting our positioning as a global telecommunications solutions integrator.

With over 2,000 participants from the telecommunications industry, this congress was the ideal space to connect with potential clients and partners to explore collaboration opportunities. As part of our participation, we hosted an exclusive cocktail event attended by around 40 guests, including key members of the press such as EFE and La Vanguardia, as well as executives from companies like Entel Chile, Entel Peru, and Etisalat (Dubai), among others.

Innovation in RCS

Our presentation focused on the RCS protocol, which is particularly relevant following Apple’s recent decision to support it natively in iOS 18. This will allow enriched messages (with images, drop-down menus, videos, and payment options) to reach a larger number of users without the need to install additional apps. According to Juniper Research, the number of active RCS users is expected to reach 1.1 billion in 2024.

Our CEO, Gabriel Chapt, highlighted that RCS offers much more advanced features than traditional SMS, incorporating multimedia interactivity and enhanced security. He also noted that as a mobile telecommunications integrator, Plusmo has formed a strategic alliance with MediaPlus Equmedia, Spain’s leading independent media agency, to develop RCS solutions for companies in the country.
