What is Cricinfo MobiCast?

Cricinfo MobiCast is a service brought to you by Cricinfo and Plusmo. It delivers live cricket action to your mobile device as it happens on the pitch. You get ball-by-ball updates and live scorecards for cricket matches delivered right to your phone. The client offers a rich experience and optimizes over the air updates to minimize data charges. And best of all, it is FREE!

Is Cricinfo MobiCast really free?

Yes. Cricinfo MobiCast is FREE to use. Standard data charges may apply based on your service from your mobile operator. Cricinfo MobiCast ensures that data is compressed to minimize data charges than using a regular WAP browser on your phone. Check with your operator for data plans that they offer. Yes. You can use Cricinfo MobiCast even though you don't have a data plan.

What mobile devices and carriers does Cricinfo MobiCast support?

Cricinfo MobiCast supports all J2ME MIDP 2.0 and MIDP 1.0 enabled mobile phones, RIM/Blackberry devices, Windows Mobile Smart phones, Pocket PC enabled PDAs, and Treo handhelds. We are constantly adding support for new devices and operating systems. Currently we do not have support for BREW-enabled devices. Supported Devices List.

If you can't find your phone in the list, don't despair. It is possible that the application still works on your device. Please try to download the application from http://plusmo.com/ci. When you download the application from your phone, we detect your phone type and offer you the most likely version for your phone. Please send us feedback or contact us if you have any problems.

How do I get Cricinfo MobiCast on my device?

You can point your mobile device browser to the url http://plusmo.com/ci to download the client. If you want to avoid typing on your device, you can register and receive an SMS or email on your mobile device.

Click on the link in the email or SMS to install the application.

I deleted the Cricinfo MobiCast client from my device? How do I re-install it?

You can always re-install the client by visiting http://plusmo.com/ci from your mobile device browser. Alternately, you can go through registration again using the email address and password that you have originally registered with. We'll resend the SMS or email with the download link.

How do I start using Cricinfo MobiCast once it is installed on my device?

On Java Enabled (J2ME) devices, access your mobile phone's list of downloads and/or applications and select "Cricket" to launch it. On RIM devices, you can launch "Cricket" from the Applications folder. On Windows Mobile SmartPhones and PDAs, "Cricket" is accessible from the 'Start' menu. On Treo handhelds, you can launch it from the 'Home' screen.
