Plusmo Declared Grand Prize Winner of Nokia N97 Hackathon Challenge

"Rocket" Social Location Widget named best Mobile App at Nokia Developer Summit

MONTE CARLO, MONACO and SANTA CLARA, CA- May 11, 2009 Plusmo, Inc., the leader in mobile widgets, applications and application store solutions, was named the global winner of Nokia's "Calling All Innovators" Hackathon for mobile application developers, held last week at the inaugural Nokia Developer Summit in Monaco. The developer contest was held to celebrate the much anticipated launch of the Nokia N97. PlusmoÕs Rocket mobile app, a social location widget which displays a user's nearest friends on a map, was built on-site by Plusmo developers during the 24-hour Hackathon coding competition.

"We received over 1,300 submissions, many of which were exceptional. Pitting the best Forum Nokia developers in the business against each other and watching the apps being built in front of summit delegates was so exciting," said Pekka Pohjakallio, Vice President, Services. The social location widget that Plusmo built for the Hackathon was one of the top 10 winning ideas picked in a contest sponsored by Nokia. Nokia invited consumers to submit ideas for home screen widgets for the new Nokia N97.

Plusmo's Rocket social location widget presents a real-time mini view of the location of a user's friends. Plusmo's widget delivers this view by extracting information from a user's existing social networks, or allowing them to create a new network within the widget environment. Taking the original consumer concept one step further, Plusmo developers further enhanced features in the application, including adding information about what a person's friends are doing, and allowing a user to give "gifts" to their friends with virtual goods.
